2024 Ted Kennedy's dog
Someone e-mailed me today after reading my Ted Kennedy scum bag post that he had a dog named Splash, and wasn't that really an odd name--you know, considering his history.
I thought it must be an urban legend, but looked it up. Of course, you still never know--this is after all the internet we're talking about--where a dog might be posting and you'd have no way to know. But here's the story at Anchoress.

Accordin' to this story I mentioned in July of '04, Teddy had two Portuguese Water Dogs. Suddenly there's only one and he's writin' a book.
Not bettin' my Liver Snaps it's a tell-all bio. Nope. It's a children's book.

When I heard the name of his dog I thought it was a very poor joke. Rereading the story I noted that the writer made sure to mention that the dog was already named Splash when Sen. Ted got him.
Creepy.
